Simple-to-use, professional-grade testers measure potentially dangerous phosphate levels in your aquarium. Contains a lab-quality light emitting diode encased in a high-impact plastic shell. Includes two 10 ml cuvets and 9-volt battery. Exclusive positive-locking system prevents user error and inaccurate results. Automatic shutoff features conserve battery life. Uses light refraction to measure water turbidity from phosphates - which are leached into most well and tap water from plant fertilizers and detergents. Too much of this naturally occurring compound can wreak havoc on your aquarium inhabitants. Low Range measures 0 to 2.50 mg/L. High Range measures 0 to 30 mg/L. For fresh or saltwater applications.
